If you find yourself doing that, you have to stop. You have to realise that these circumstance you are experiencing has nothing to do with who you are.

If you have to behave differently in order for others to accept you, then you are mixing with the wrong people. Get out of that group. Remove the old, so that the new can come in. Once you realize that you are not the problem, the next step is you need to come to terms with the truth that not everyone behaves the way they do.

Don't judge someone new based on your past relationships. Don't allow your past to create the kind of fear that would be destructive to who you are. By destructive, we mean someone who does not feel safe to share their light with the world again. Draw your boundaries and just know where the buck stops.

Remember, you were made to share your gift with the world. So stop hoping for the past to be different, stop worrying for the future to be kinder, and just focus on what's in front you right now. Because the past is gone, the future is yet to come, so all that matters is this moment, right now. Make the best out of it.

Don't let anyone dim your lights; instead, let these events be the reason you shine even brighter than before. Remember, you have the right to choose who gets to enter your heart, for how long and for how frequent. The choice is yours...
