Betrayal can either one of the most destructive experiences in life or either the most empowering. It can either bring out the worst in us, or the best. The choice is ours. CG and I have been betrayed more times than we can count, often costing us our business, our reputation and our friends.

.

We often got hurt so badly till we went in a downward spiral for almost a year at a time; having to work our way back up from the state we were in, in order to find compassion once again. The last time we got betrayed almost costed us our livelihoods as we were so close to being jobless and possibly even homeless with a new born on our hands.

.

However in those stormy days led us to one of the most powerful discoveries of our lives which empowered and enlightened us in a way like never before. We found a way out of it and we knew that regardless the circumstance in the future, we will find a way out again and again and again. In order to bring yourself out of any kind of trouble, the most important step is to always begin by understanding what the problem is.

.

People don't betray you for your ability. It is not because they think that 'You are not good enough'. It's because they recognize your greatness and it scares them cause they've never seen it before; and they have no idea what it is. They admire you, and they fear what you can do with it; and because of that, their first instinct is to destroy you.

.

Mediocrity always attacks excellence. People with mediocre minds will always attack you because they only like you if you're at the same level. When your above them, they get uncomfortable and they start to attack you because what's really happening is that they know that they don't have the courage to do what you did. And it's hard for them to admit it to themselves, so they attack you and try to pull you down so that they feel better about themselves.

When all those things were happening to us, those who knew our story and the truth asked us, 'Why are we being so soft and kind to these people? Why are we not going public about it, defend ourselves and at the same expose the culprits? Why are we keeping quiet?'

.

To be honest, we thought about it for a few days. A part of us wanted to share that story and to tell others what's really happening; however the purest part of us said 'NO'. So we decided to endure it and learn how to deal with it. We understood that whatever energy we put out in the universe, comes back to us. We were not going to be sucked in into that reality.

.

We told them, "We are not being kind for those who have hurt us. We are being kind for ourselves. We are not going to allow ourselves to dwell in their evil deeds. We are not allowing their deeds to change our kindness and compassion. Regardless what happens, our light will continue to shine, our compassion will continue to show, and we will not allow others to drag us down to hell with them. This is our life, our light and our vibration; and if they're not meant to be there with us, then it is none of our business being there with them. Its prettier up here anyway..."

The moment we decided to empower ourselves through betrayal by choosing kindness, our world changed. The both of us are still on the path of healing physically and financially; but mentally and emotionally, we are so much stronger today.
