"Believe it or not, I’m quite a sensitive and emotional person. I used to be triggered easily and would lash out because of my emotions getting the better of me. However as I got older, so did my mentality.

Growing up in a reality where i often used my emotions to get the outcome i wanted made it hard for me to change otherwise. However a part of me knew that deep down inside i needed to change; that i was better than this; nevertheless there was always the presence of the other side lurking in the shadows, telling me to do otherwise...

I understood that in our world, the way to go about it is by learning to take everything with a pinch of salt. I learnt that in friendships, relationships or working together with others, the most important thing is to leave our emotions aside whenever it is unnecessary so that it doesn't get the better of us; to take control of it...

I started to see that in our everyday lives, we are bound to meet different people in whatever we do; different characters and personalities. I knew that by experiencing people, we are also open to the different emotions and temperaments that each of us have; and that the only way to live harmoniously is to learn to understand one another better; to see life or meaning from their perspective; leaving behind all emotions that can corrupt the situation...

Though there are times where the creepy little feeling still crawls up my back, but i guess i've learnt to not let it get the better of me; to take control of my life a little more than i used to...

What i'm trying to say is that we each have our own battles to fight; be it in the outside world or the inside. Sometimes we win, and other times we don't. Fret not; because life is about growing each day. It's about working hard each day to be the best version of ourselves so that we can serve the world a little better...

Having said that, I guess I designed this piece to show that there are always two sides to the coin; and sometimes what you see isn’t always the entire truth. Each and everyone of us have a desire to live a bigger life and the only way we can do that is by being in complete harmony with both sides of the coin; being happy with ourselves and accepting who we are...

This is the first time I’ve had any sort of collaboration, but it’s also the first time I’ve been able to express my emotions into a piece. I hope that through my story, some of you out there who are facing a similar war inside, can come to understand that life is a beautiful journey filled with constant growths. Don't feel bad for not being perfect. Figure out what its meant to teach you, and move on; because at the end of the day, all that matters is the person that we've grown to become; not the person that you were..."
